How to tame your man - Article Plan

How to tame your man

Planning Comments
article genre
(purpose, type)
The purpose of his article is a real life story as to how a women took control of her relationship and changed her their life by changing his ‘dark’ side for the better. Even without him knowing. This will appeal to the majority of my target audience as there is a small minority that has ‘perfect’ relationships and therefore it will hopefully help everyone else with their relationship troubled by dong similar things to my interviewee.
Narrative voice
(1st, 2nd or 3rd person)
I will write my article mainly in 2nd person, quotes and answers however will be in 1st person. This will make it more believable to the audience as it is the exact words that are coming out of the interviewee’s mouth. This makes it more personal.
Register
(informal/formal, colloquial, dialect, taboo words?)
The register for this article will again be fairly informal for the questions as I wasn’t the reader as well as the interviewee to feel comfortable. I want it to create a strong relationship. I wont be including any taboo but if the interviewee uses some then I feel as though this will add to the passion or anger of the article so I will use asterisk to still give the same effect without offending anyone.
Stylistics
(repetition, strong verbs, adjectives, alliteration, similes, metaphors, sentencing, rhythm)
Again I will repeat strong words to emphasise each paragraph of advice. This will give the pointers a powerful feel and therefore the reader is more likely to follow them. Short to medium sentencing will give a medium read speed and therefore keep the attention of my target audience.
Tone of address
(hectoring, sarcastic, ‘matey’, ironic, etc)
I will use a chatty, ‘matey’ tone of address, which would involve the reader in the article making them feel more included.
Structure and pace
(discourse structure, logical paragraphing, conclusion)
The left hand side of the page will include one large image, the introductory paragraph and the beginning of the article at the bottom of the page. On the left hand side will be the many body of text, which will cover over 3 columns. The text will be separated by the questions which will be in a different colour and font.
