How to tame your man - Article Plan

How to tame your man

Planning Comments
article genre
(purpose, type)
The purpose of his article is a real life story as to how a women took control of her relationship and changed her their life by changing his ‘dark’ side for the better. Even without him knowing. This will appeal to the majority of my target audience as there is a small minority that has ‘perfect’ relationships and therefore it will hopefully help everyone else with their relationship troubled by dong similar things to my interviewee.
Narrative voice
(1st, 2nd or 3rd person)
I will write my article mainly in 2nd person, quotes and answers however will be in 1st person. This will make it more believable to the audience as it is the exact words that are coming out of the interviewee’s mouth. This makes it more personal.
Register
(informal/formal, colloquial, dialect, taboo words?)
The register for this article will again be fairly informal for the questions as I wasn’t the reader as well as the interviewee to feel comfortable. I want it to create a strong relationship. I wont be including any taboo but if the interviewee uses some then I feel as though this will add to the passion or anger of the article so I will use asterisk to still give the same effect without offending anyone.
Stylistics
(repetition, strong verbs, adjectives, alliteration, similes, metaphors, sentencing, rhythm)
Again I will repeat strong words to emphasise each paragraph of advice. This will give the pointers a powerful feel and therefore the reader is more likely to follow them. Short to medium sentencing will give a medium read speed and therefore keep the attention of my target audience.
Tone of address
(hectoring, sarcastic, ‘matey’, ironic, etc)
I will use a chatty, ‘matey’ tone of address, which would involve the reader in the article making them feel more included.
Structure and pace
(discourse structure, logical paragraphing, conclusion)
The left hand side of the page will include one large image, the introductory paragraph and the beginning of the article at the bottom of the page. On the left hand side will be the many body of text, which will cover over 3 columns. The text will be separated by the questions which will be in a different colour and font.

Stress Mess - Article Plan

Stress Mess

Planning Comments
article genre
(purpose, type)
The purpose of my article is too help increase awareness as what stress can cause and therefore I am writing an article as too how to minimise your own stress and stressful environments. This will appeal to the majority of my target audience as they are in either work, college or both and therefore stress is something they will come across quite often, especially during exam time.
Narrative voice
(1st, 2nd or 3rd person)
I will write my article, again, in 2nd person as this will be the most appropriate for my genre of magazine. This narrative voice involves the reader within the article making them feel as though this article is aimed at them. It makes it much more personal.
Register
(informal/formal, colloquial, dialect, taboo words?)
The register for this article will again be fairly informal as this will create a stronger relationship wit the reader wont be including any taboo in this article as I don’t think it will be appropriate due to the fact it is quite a serious subject and I don’t want the reader to feel as though it isn’t taken seriously.
The left hand side of the page will include one large image, the header and the introductory paragraph. On the left hand side will be the many body of text which will cover over 4 columns in an unusual way. Each paragraph will be separated by guide lines to make it clear and easy to read.

Sea, Sun and A Flat Tum - Article Plan

Planning Comments
article genre
(purpose, type)
The purpose of my article is too promote a healthy lifestyle by giving easy following advice on diets and exercise. This will appeal to the majority of my target audience as females are always conscious as to how they look and how to feel good and therefore this will be an article of high interest to them.
Narrative voice
(1st, 2nd or 3rd person)
I will write my article in 2nd person as I feel as though this will be the most appropriate for my genre of magazine. This narrative voice will involve the reader within the article and therefore they will be more entertained. This is good for my target audience as they have a short attention span.
Register
(informal/formal, colloquial, dialect, taboo words?)
The register will be fairly informal as a formal tone wont appeal to my target audience. I will try to use mild taboo words as this is fairly youthful and will make the tone of my article much lighter and therefore the reader is more likely to read it.
Stylistics
(repetition, strong verbs, adjectives, alliteration, similes, metaphors, sentencing, rhythm)
I will repeat strong words like ‘important’ as this will emphasise that the pointers I give are essential to getting the body image that women desire. I will use short to medium sentencing as this will give a medium read speed and therefore a lengthily article wont appear too daunting.
Tone of address
(hectoring, sarcastic, ‘matey’, ironic, etc)
I will use a chatty, ‘matey’ tone of address due to the age group of my target audience. This again would involve the reader in the article making them feel more included.
Structure and pace
(discourse structure, logical paragraphing, conclusion)
The text of the article will be in the bottom half of the text and the imagery will be in the top half. Each paragraph will be in a different area due to the fact they will have a different context as they all have different points to make.
